M8 with 350D from last night

here's another shot at M8 350D from last night. arhh i need a coma corrector! The guiding was very accurate as i was monitoring it from all the frames. consist of 10 x 4mins at ISO800. Flat and Darks subtracted in Registax (I think if i did it right).

Cropped once again . I was wondering do you guys crop your images?

thanks.

Hey Eric,
great image, and yes, in your case cropping seems to be mandatory, but what the heck. Maybe a coma corrector will help, but in the interim keep trying what you have been doing. Very nice.

Hi Eric

Depending on the image and the scale, I will do a crop on occassions purely for aesthetic reasons, no point in having the object of interest in the middle of the frame and heaps of space around it. I tend to place the object more to the left and crop the righthand side where the Amp Glow appears on long (200 + second) exposures.

I am sure other people have other ideas.

Cheers

Great image Eric.....isn't that so much better then the DSI....

Wait till you get that coma sorted out and then you will be able to produce awesome images.

Yes cropping is genarly done...I normaly only crop a small section around the perimeter mainly cropping the overlaping edges of stacked frames but thats about it.
