Here's a 10 minute sub through the red filter of 2442 in Volans showing the type 1A supernova. I'm doing a couple of nights on this if the weather holds, so should get a decent RGB image by the end of the weekend. So far so good...

It is one of the brightest SN this far south in a while.
I have observed it a few times since discovery and
am impressed with how quick it is brightening.
Look forward to the colour version.
