Any Atik (on Mac) users out there? You'll love this :)

AstroImager, a new image capture application by CloudMakers designed specifically for Mac OSX --- supports nearly all Atik cameras. I've had a hell of a time with the Atik 314L+ and 414EX on Nebulosity2 and SkyX, thanks to OSX Yosemite, until this $12.00 alternative came along. It's very stable. Not a single crash. Love it

It also controls my SX USB filter wheel. Again, nil issues. Stable as.

Thanks heaps for this! I gave up using Atik cameras on mac. Funny thing is, I've been playing around in my spare time building some software on top of INDI, which these guys do, and I had no idea this existed.

Now I just need guiding with my QHY5L-II mono + EQ8 and Astrotortilla...

My pleasure Lee. I'm stoked to have found this also, and all for $12.00 Aud !

I see that CloudMakers also has a nice little Fits Preview app for Mac. At $6.00, I'll give it a shot

John, this company, CloudMakers makes bloody good stuff. I've already emailed one of their developers, Peter Polakovic, and made a few requests requets: AstroImager (a toggle on/off for cross hairs) and Fits Preview (ability to rotate image 90, 180 etc). My suggestions were well received. See pic from Peter, rotate function added already! Just needs Apple clearance. Champion.

For me, the Atik camera control on Mac is massive. It just works. I do love my SkyX, but I continue to encounter issues controlling my Atik So glad I bumped into this software!

I've just been in contact with Peter myself; seems like a nice guy. He told me that AstroTelescope is only a couple of weeks out from release, which is great news. Apparently the guiding stuff is still a while out though. Exciting times ahead, can't wait to be able to image/solve/guide natively on my mac!

By the way Logan, Nick who's developing the Atik software for SkyX hangs around on stargazerslounge and cloudynights. Seems nice, I'm sure he'd be interested in the problems you've been having, if you haven't already been in contact with him.

Sweet, I missed those details!
AstroTeleacope AND
AstroGuide.

I have been using PHD2 on Mac with nil issues, but will definitely give their guiding package a go too, especially if the apps are somehow integrated / talk to each other - makes sense.

Nick + the Atik team are great, I'm in contact with him on the Atik Forum and privately. I tried the Atik SkyX plug-in (R145) but issues in SkyX prevail. Going to Yosmite messed me up good n proper - which is not the fault of Atik or the good people at SoftwareBisque... wish I never upgraded

Dunk, Nick has been awesone. My Atik now is working 100% on SkyX Mac (it was mostly operator error - and required me to use the latest Atik SkyX plug-in).

In other news, CloudMakers has updated Fits Preview to now include rotate/flip view. This little program is now, by far, my fav little app to view FITS on Mac. Check it out. I'm loving the Mac-astro support that we're seeing more of these days

Astronomy software is about the only thing that keeps me on Windows. There is no doubt that the Apple is, and has for a long time been, the superior platform. Great to see Atik support there.

I have purchased both of these tools and I wish i had of known the telescope control was coming. I justd forked out for TheSky X Pro and the Camera Addon.

Would any of you TSX users be able to give me some pointers on setting up? Hitches/glitches. PM is fine/

Really appreciate anything coming in!
