The day wasnt great for Waterfalls with mostly a Full Sun, so should the darker places with a 20mm extender would produce something of interest from a nice day out all the same.
1st thoughts was Trevors often collection of the little growy thing'os

A nice set of photos Bob.
I loved Currumbin the one and only time I was there. Used to live at Uki out or Murwillumbah.
It's a bit of fun chasing the little guys down and photographing them. Well done.
I have a friend in SE Queenie and if you want a bit of inspiration, head over to his site and look at some of his work.
Most are done with a Nikon P7600 compact and hand held light. Incredible.
He's coming down for a visit in mushroom season and let me in on his secrets :-)

Some nice areas about the Boarder ranges, have riden through Uki quite a number o times - like a lost world in some places !
