Night Sky Photography Workshop in Melbourne - Friday 13th Feb

An ominous date for sure, so I need all the help I can get promoting these workshops:

philhart.com/workshops

The workshops are not about the gory details of deep sky astrophotography through a scope, and certainly not about CCD imaging. But they are for photographers who want to learn more about astronomy and the night sky and how to photograph it with just a tripod and a digital SLR. I can also lend you some nice gear for the workshops if you don't have your own DSLR/lenses etc.

if you're interested, feel free to message me.

Hi Phil

Will this be similar to the workshop that you're presenting at the STAV Physics Teachers Conference next week?

Quite a bit different Paul. The conference presentation is more about the science you can do and explain to students with simple digital SLR imaging of the night sky. It's also short.. less than an hour I think.

The workshop is three hours (plus the practical session) on how to take night sky photos of various kinds (night sky scenes, star trails, the Moon, timelapse video). Much more intense and instructional.
