Yes. Especially if you have a relatively long fl scope: f9 or so on up.
I had to sell a very nice Zambuto mirrored dob because no matter what I did the thing would twirl around like a demented windmill!

A sturdy mount can make a big difference, as can any sort of home-made wind break
if you have steady winds from one direction.
I live in a valley on top of a hill so the wind NEVER blows in one direction!
My go-to scope on days like today is an 80mm spotting scope mounted on an NEQ6. Fortunately it takes virtually any 1.25' EP and has a nice small cross section.
