...and a hot air balloon

we were at canberra on the weekend for the balloon fiesta and we got up extra early to watch them all set up at 5am. cheryl had problems getting me moving as i was staring at the stars

anyhow, this was the first balloon to come up and i notice jupiter was above it... couldnt resist
hope you enjoy. it was all sooo pretty.

Saturday morning (two days ago) we heard the telltale sound of a gas burner outside, and when we went out for a look the Delfast balloon was passing right over our house, about 20 metres up. The crew and passengers waved to us, and we waved back.

Leisa went back inside for the camera, and here's the image. The balloon had gone about 100m past us by the time we got the picture.

If they launched from old parliament house, then they had to have traveled about 35km to get to us. I think they were lost :-)
