Imaging technique

Hello
I have developed a technique of proper 3D color balancing that forces an image to use all color in the rgb colorspace.
The result is that prominent objects become less prominent and features that are hidden increase in prominence.
This is the result of the technique applied to a Chandra x-ray image of the Galactic centre.

Hi Glen,
I'm sure you might be aware that there are potentially a lot of commercial applications for clever ways of rendering data like this. Any field that requires visualisation of high dynamic ranges is always benefitting from this kind of development. Not to be used with a hangover, though. And it does kind of remind me of some parties I went to in the 80s...
Cheers,
Andrew

You should definitely have some psychedelic music playing while working with these techniques - early Pink Floyd would be ideal.

(And "Astronomy Domine", "Interstellar Overdrive" or "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" would be perfect!)

Nowadays

Nowadays more like "The memories of a man in old age, are the deeds of a man his prime" - Mr Floyd, Pink

I was actually listening to 'Meddle' when I wrote that, so very close!
