Jupiter in IR from Melbourne this morning

Hi guys,

With Jove now blazing away in the Northern sky, and after seeing Trev's images, decided to have a go at the big fella this morning.

It was promising, BUT, never quite steady enough at 38 degrees, confirmed when I swung the scope over the the moon to really check the seeing.

Anyhow, good to get some details with the ASI120mm, 12.5", 5 x Powermate and the IR685 filter which seems the best at the moment.

Another go tonight before the change hits Melbourne so lets see what eventuates.

Clear skies,

John K.

Nicely done John, certainly worth the effort, a top result for so far South as Melbourne.

Cheers
Trevor
