Little blue Kingfisher

Trevors pic of the owl reminded me of a Kingfisher I picked up at rather long range with my kit lens @300mm in UK last summer
I was moving on the canal at the time and in fact steering when I saw it.
I stretched it a bit but nothing else - iso800 and auto I think the exif info is still on the pic.
Also heavily cropped

It's such a shame the conditions weren't right to get this shot perfect Jen. But your composition is very nice, even if it suffers from circumstances. And the birds beautiful.
I'm envious you got to steer the canals too.

If I hadn't cropped it, you'd not be able to see the bird lol.

Nice shot. It looks just like the little kingfishers that live around my house. I thought they were native to Australia and New Zealand. Perhaps its a similar bird.
