old two motor vixen ? able to guide

Hi folks, I have inherited an old Vixen ?DX ? polaris green two motor eq mount with an old scope, the mount has a simple hand controller and no guide port.
Apart from the obvious manual guiding, is there anyway that this mount can be "upgraded" to a guiding mount?
Just a thought bubble before I resign it to a camera mount

Graham,
If you can access the inside of the hand control and identify on the PCB where the N/S/E/W contacts are, you should be able to do an ST-4 conversion to allow the guide signals to "over ride" the manual buttons.
This is regularly done on the older EQ5 hand controllers.
