Short exposure of NGC 1679

This was basically a test exposure but seemed to turn out reasonably well so I thought I would post it. I've never imaged this galaxy before or anything else in Caelum for that matter.

Cheers

Steve

Nice image.
Thanks David. I'm not sure if I'll get any time for extra data with the approach of Christmas.

Thanks Louie. Good luck on finding info on it. There doesn't seem to be much. Might be able to get some more data tomorrow or Wednesday. If not then it will have to be after Christmas.

Thanks Ross. It's new for me too. It just happened to be in the right part of the sky at the right time.

Good detail in an interesting galaxy, lots of faint fuzzies showing form (as The Bill would say), and good star colours. Well done.
