Last Omega Cent shot for the year.

Hi all

My last shot of Omega Cent for the year, disappearing behind a shed for me now.

10 x 60 seconds at ISO 800, usual Darks, Flats and Bias, Auto Image Processing in ImagesPlus 2.75, very slight tweak in PS 7.01, very little done to the image.

Prime focus of the Takahashi FS-102, Unmodded Canon 350D, no filters.

Autoguided with a SW ED80 and ST-4, focus and automation in DSLRFocus.

Quite pleased with this shot.

Cheers

JohnG

John that's a beautiful shot, great focus, nicely framed and tracked with excellent colour.
I'd love to see a high-res version as I'm sure the lo-res is just a teaser.

Well done my friend.

Very nice John.
I too did Omega recently, and also with an older Tak, an FC100. I have saved it, and will compare them, side by side. It's a cracker.

Very nice. Something I always like about Omega Centauri shots is those foreground blue stars giving it depth.

Yep great focus and tracking. Globs are most unforgiving of focus and tracking errors too. Omega centauri is indeed getting too low to image now.
