Some lightning from Sydney this evening

I took these about an hour ago from the balcony at work.
They came out alright considering I took them handheld

Great photos! How did you capture the lightning? I normally have to leave the camera on a tripod on bulb or 30 seconds - I figure you either must have taken a load of photos or there was loads of lightning!!

Thanks Guys!

John - it was a bit of both. There was a strike about every 20 seconds so I was just pointing the camera in the general direction, with a relatively slow shutter speed of about 1/10th of a second (good thing I had IS on that lens!), and took about 20 shots at a time (until the buffer filled and started to slow down). I think I took about 250 shots over about 5 minutes and got about 10 with decent lightning.
