Some nice lightning tonight

Well it's been unbelievably cloudy the last month and I've been short of imaging projects - blame me for getting new(ish) kit! But at last the clouds are up to interesting things, with a remarkable run of stormy weather over Sydney. This evening (2nd Dec) was the third consecutive night of thunderstorms with more forecast each day through to Monday, and (so far) today was by far the most photogenic.

The first is a stack of 9 frames taken over 4 minutes. Others were at dusk and this evening, looking south towards Wollongong from southern Sydney.

Thanks! Yeah it was a nice combination of frequent lightning and (for the most part) far enough away and clear enough to be safe and fun to watch outside. I've had storms here every day since (7 days in a row now), but a few of them have been a bit more intimidating!
