Lost a mate

I was informed today of the rapid passing of a close friend, someone that some of you may know.

Maurie "Moz" Kerr from Maidenwell (well, near there anyway), finally lost his battle to all the ailments he managed to keep at bay for so many years. I can imagine his last words too... Most of those that know him may have an idea as well. I imagine his final words were "BALLS!"

Anyway, please no condolence messages, just letting some like Chris Thomas etc know. He was NOT an astronomer, but still fairly well known in the SEQ/Kingaroy/Blackbutt area.

I believe the funeral will be on Monday in Kingaroy.

Hey Lewis,

Was he from Maidenwell Observatory? We drove past there on Sunday on our way back from our honeymoon (second!) at Bunya Mountains.

Sad news.
