The Sun October 1

In white light with an Orion solar filter.

Saw something odd while looking through the eyepiece. There was a dark object in silhouette streaking across the Sun's face. I suppose it could have been a number of things from insects to birds or whatever but it seemed to vanish before it reached the limb. It showed no detail and was pin point in apparent size. Could it have been a meteor?

Nice disk. Yes I get all sorts of things flying past all the time! Here is what appears to be a high weather balloon coming across one of my imaging sessions: http://youtu.be/ZuzmKt-NFRE

Nice balloon transit Ted. Yeah I live only a couple of Km from the weather station and see balloons all the time. But this wasn't a balloon, it was too small. Must have been a satellite.
