IC1274 ( I think )

Hi its been a while since I've had a chance to post anything but managed to find time to take a shot of IC1274 , the nebula near M8

Taken with the 10" with Ha RGB ST2000 about 2.5 hours total exposure.

looks excellent, even has dark lanes where it looks like a scribblygum bug made some tunnels!

top quality shot there. Tell me more about the 10" f3.5 astrograph. The star images look excellent.

Thanks for the kind coments on the pic I think this object is more interesting than M8 but needs quite a bit of exposure to bring it out.I've added the Ha ( 60 min ) only pic
Gary glad your enjoying the Genisis as much as I did , don't know why I sold it
Lester the 10" is a Meade Schmidt Newt with a APO flatener ,reducer , coma corrector and all round make betterer and a moonlite insuments motor focuser the setup works well but needs collimating regularly.

Hi Zane,

thanks for the info on the SN Meade. I thought that the fast Schmidt Newtonians would produce more blobby star images. At f3.5 that is going to leave most other scopes for dead when it comes to light gathering ability.
