Astro-Physics Starfire 130EDT F8

Had this scope since new in 1992. Well used in the past 22 years, so do not expect it to be mint! The objective is of course perfect.

Issues with it are:
1. Focuser action a little uneven, at certain parts of the rack motion is easy at others a bit firm. It has the older 2.7" single speed focuser. A new dual speed feathertouch is US$670 from AP.
2. Paint chips on lower section of tube, about the size of a fingernail. (under my name tag)

I'm asking $3500. Feel free to comment on either the price or scope, I'm thick skinned as far as this scope goes, only selling as I do not use it as much now I have 18" SDM as main scope and 106AT as portable scope.

Naturally on the right night the performance of this scope is superb. I have seen Enceladus with it, such is the contrast. This usually needs a good 10" scope to see. Comes with rings, case and WO vixen plate.
EQ 6 mount not included.

Thank you who expressed an interest.

I now believe the scope was priced correctly, and it appears to be going to another good home. Everyone who is blessed to possess a good telescope should remember that we are just temporary custodians of these wonderful instruments and be happy to pass them on when the time comes.
