An average M17

This is one of my few narrow-band efforts and I think I have a lot to learn about NB. I had lots of mainly self afflicted problems with the data and had to throw out a lot of sub-frames. The full potential of the RCOS 14.5" has yet to be achieved.

Cheers

Steve

Hrm, it looks like the data is being muted somehow? What's happening there?

It certainly looks like you've got the goods in the data, though.

Might be time for a reprocess?

Hi Steve,

Details looks good. Perhaps a little dark for my taste?

I have been struggling with processing the same object for a couple of nights. I'm not too unhappy with the colour I got last night so I will try to wrap up the first public version this evening. We could do a blend of the two images then we'd definitely have an average result

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Rick. It probably is a bit dark.

Don't know what's happening H - I've had numerous reprocesses already. Perhaps I'll go back to it tomorrow and start again with a clear head. The biggest problem is the Ha data I think and it probably should be collected again. There's no prospect of that though given the upcoming weather.
