Orion SkyQuest XX12G + TV Ethos 13

NOTE: Seperated the Televue Ethos 13mm and putting it up separately. To confirm: this price is for the scope and listed items above, and does NOT include the Televue Ethos 13.

For sale is a Orion SkyQuest XX12G goto dob with some eye pieces and accessories.
It has been used a handful of times and spent most of it's four month life in it's padded case. No dents or scratches to the tube.

The XX12G is a collapsible GOTO truss dobsonian that breaks down into easily moveable parts. The heaviest part is the flat base (wood). Will fit in most cars easily (maybe not a Barina). I was tempted to the 14" but am happy i stuck with the 12". Anything larger would have been a pain to cart around.

I've had this scope out at Kingaroy and the views were nothing like the Bintel 10" solid tube i had before it. Carina was amazing and never before had i seen the ring of Sombrero in such detail. Centaurus A the hamburger was visible, where as i couldn't see it on my 10". Paired with the Ethos 13mm, the FOV is huge and sharp to the edge.

What you get:
  • Orion SkyQuest XX12G with all cables, and D cell battery pack (with batteries) for the fan.
  • Orion 12.5mm illuminated Plossl eyepiece
  • Orion Deepview 35mm 2" eyepiece
  • Televue 8mm Plossl
  • Orion padded carry cases for truss, top and bottom half of telescope.
  • Orion light shroud
Total value at Bintel: $3100~ (+ ~$330 to ship to Brisbane)

Selling for: $2150
Over $800 saving on a barely used scope.

Pickup from northside of Brisbane only - shipping would be expensive and difficult as it is in it's padded case. Cash preferred.

Tests can be arranged - subject to (our not too crash-hot) weather and my availability.

Any questions please ask.
(No the RCA battery pack is not included )

Updated the listing. Removed the Ethos so those not interested can purchase the scope by itself.

Will re-list the Ethos separately.
