Hi All,

A clear night in Melbourne until about 1 am.

Thwarted in completing an image of this by the clouds, but got some nice luminance data, still needs more though. The RGB that I have is very noisy and low intensity, I think this one will take a while to acquire enough data to do it justice.

Fantastic image Stuart. Shame the weather put a stop to it. To obtain the spiral structure in two hours of data must be a real joy. Not an easy galaxy. Just checked out your gallery. Your N12 and processing has put some cracking images together. Excellent work.

Really tight stars, sublime attention to focus and guiding. There are few asto-imagers in Oz who do as well. Excellent work from me as well

Absolutely top notch imaging. Never seen a better example.

I LOVE the fact the stars are all retained (a pet peeve is star-removed fields - I ask WHY????), the absolute sharpness and the fidelity. Keep going, and don't make it neon red or krypton blue in the RGB final image

Thanks Jase, yeah the fast scope is a boon in Melbourne, but also picks up the LP pretty well. I was surprised at how well it came out of the murk with 5 minute subs, I ended up with 10 minute sub though.

Yes Peter, you sold me a nice camera! Thanks for the encouragement. I have a slight tilt in the system which I may fix one day.

Thanks Lewis, hopefully you'll see a better example when I finish it. I'll make sure I do a lurid colour versions for you...
