Angry The Jetstream

OK ... alright...

Enough's enough!!!

The jetstream has been a real pain lately. It seems like ages since I last saw anything resembling decent seeing.

The current maps look shocking.

Any predictions when it's gonna clear?

Does anyone have any longer range forecasts of better days?

I'm gettin' desperate folks!

Yeh it seems to be stuck over us.. although brisbanites might soon see a reprieve.. it appears to be heading south. I think we might have to wait until late spring before we get regular holes again.

I was playing around last night trying to capture diffraction ring avi's and the moons of Uranus again and boy, did the jet stream make life difficult.

However, to compensate, I was wearing my new beaut freezer suit and wool lined boots so at least I was warm, too warm at times.

Cheers

Dennis

Actually Matt, you really wouldn't - honestly, believe me.

My wife is still recovering with aching ribs from way too much laughter.

Cheers

Sorry Dennis ... but it's the laughter I'm after

You could sew a NASA patch on it and really make it official

Quit the complaining about jet streams... at least (it sounds like) you have clear skies! I've had nothing but cloud and rain for 4 weeks now.

Really, really getting sick of cloud. Could really do with some clear sky, any time soon please !

Roger.

... maybe if I stick a hubble picture to the roof of my observatory and aim the scope at that while the rain beats down outside....

Except for my imaging, there is no problem, or my viewing there is no problem. We know why it is there but it doesn't stop it from annoying the hell out of us.
