Essentially "New" OPTEC focusing solution for the large TEC Focuser.
This is the "direct drive" solution. I have tested this focuser extensively and it works perfectly. It is a bipole motor with 1.25 micron/step resolution (65,535 steps). It will lift 12kg and also allows for very easy manual focus. A simple twist of the motor allows coarse and fine focus from the right side of the focuser. Installation is extremely easy! Basically you remove the large coarse focuser knob from the left side, insert the small gear and attach the motor with 2 screws. Finished.
