First lagoon and triffid

Hi all, this is my first image of the lagoon and triffid neb.

Taken last night with the ed80 on the eq5 with the 5dh prime focus, just before the moon popped up.

I think it's about 1.5 minutes all up, 2 images stacked and processed in p/s cs2.

Resizing the image degraded it a heap, well that's my excuse

Hi Frank, i think the first pic was ISO 800 and the second ISO 3200, i use the high ISO to get as much as i can in the shortest time, as i am usually off allignment, so i tend to get trailing if i use a lower ISO and longer exposure, still working on doing a drift alignment.

Here is another shot from last night, somewhere in the Milky Way

Nice work Trevor.

I agree with Frank. Widefield shots are very nice and that's a very nice lagoon and triffid.

I really like it that you can still see detail in both nebs (the dust lanes etc).

It's sort of how you see it through the eyepiece at low power.

I really like it. Thanks for sharing
