Stars in - Stars out - Carina in Ha

Hi All

I took this Eta Ha image a few weeks ago. Not my best processing effort with clipped blacks etc. but nonetheless worth a viewing and maybe a reprocess another time. The second image is a starless version for a bit of spice.

Image is a 2 hour total exposure taken through an ES CF 127mm refractor, 0.67x reducer, 7nm Ha and STL6303E.

Larger sized Flickr image (star version) here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/740759...20273/sizes/o/

Larger sized Flickr image (starless) here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/740759...82538/sizes/o/

Thanks for looking.

Ted

You've highlighted the structure nicely in your processing. Nice rendition.

It's interesting blinking between versions. I'm afraid I'm a traditional old fart and prefer the version with stars.

Thanks for the comments Marc, Rick, Kevin and Andy. Yes I prefer stars as well, it was just an opportunity to see an overly familiar object a little differently.
