Hey Ving

Those are mighty fine images for the LPI, you must have taken multi-second exposures to record the colours. How did you get rid of the hot pixels?

Cheers

Dennis

thanks for the feedback folks
theres about 10 x 5 second exposures there, the redhot pixels were disposed of in a humane fashion through psp9

You can subtract a dark frame to take out the hot pixels Ving.

The journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step...

Ving... I think I'm on step 3 or 4 (I lost count!) ... where are you? You can't be far away anyway, mate! Good start! Like everyone has mentioned, good colours - nice round stars in the first one!

The good news, Ving, is it's all downhill from here (take that any way you like!!)

Al.

I must confess to never having done dark subtraction, my 20D does it in camera so I don't have to worry. Here's an article explaining how to do it with photoshop and a tutorial on K3CCDtools and dark subtraction.
