Accidental Asteroid

While imaging NGC6723 in Corona Australis, I noticed a little streaker to the right of the frame. Looking up C2A (thanks Andrew) it appears to be an asteroid called 426 Hippo.

Later on I deliberately when hunting for 14 Irene. These are the streaks they left, 56 minutes for 426 Hippo and about 80 minutes for 14 Irene.

I will have to make a video sometime to show the little streakers in motion.

SW ED100, Pentax K-5.

Fun tracking these little fellas down. Well captured. and No problems Re; C2A. Takes a little bit to learn how to use it but worth it if you like traditional looking planetarium programs.

Thanks Andrew. It's still wandering slowly through Corona Australis from last night's set of frames.
