A DSS problem.

DSS is leaving small unprocessed areas at the corners/and/or edges of
my images, which I was told a while back was a lack of memory. Not being over computer literate, I assumed that meant that DSS's
memory was all used up, so I uninstalled and reinstalled DSS, but the same thing keeps happening. My laptop is old and slow, but it never used to do this, so something must have changed. DSS does the rest of the procedure fine. Any ideas on this one ? Thanks in advance.

Can you post an example?
Are you sure this isn't due to image shift between subs?

Hi Simon, thanks for the reply. I actually described the problem a little
inaccurately. The missing parts take the form of a corner, about 8x8mm
on my laptop screen, or a narrow strip along part of one or more sides of the image. The edges are sharp, and the missing parts are jet black, so it
seems that for some reason, DSS is not completing the image. It now
happens no matter how long or short the individual subs are, or how many of them there are. My laptop is, as stated, old and slow, so it
could be the laptop rather than DSS I suppose. I complete the job and then trim the image, so I don't have any affected images to post; I would have to redo a run on DSS to get an affected image. I will do
that if you think it will help, but I think my better description of the
effect might suffice.
Thanks again
raymo
