A White-faced Heron on the Don River in Devonport.
I am really enjoying my ambles along that walking path.
I am yet to get decent shots of the Platypus, but they are coming.

Thx people. The birds turn up along the river where I walk (as do the fungi) so I have learned to carry a telephoto lens.
Astro_bot: I deserved that shot after losing some really good poses because I was unprepared when I came on them.
I think the heron just decided to stop running :-)
