Saturn and Solar Flare Animation

Hi again,

Second post in one day since I could only uplad 8 pics at a time.

I had a go at making some videos of the night sky, one is of the Saturn Occultation by the Moon on the 14th May, then others are Saturn on the other side (missed the reveal by about a frame size amount) and another video of the Saturn on the otherside of the moon captured using my 80mm refractor.
Hoping for clear weather on the 4th August for another attempt, hopefully won't miss the reveal on the otherside of the moon.

The Saturn Occultation images are made from the videos.

There is the solar flare time lapse attempt... 20 frames taken 5 minutes apart using the DMK618. Exposures have been for the Surface and for the flare then combined. I'm using the NexStar 8SE Alt/Az mount for the solarmax scope so I did get quite a lot of field rotation... next time lapse attempt will be using the CGEM.

Good process to Moon and Saturn. And the Sun is very well, too. Congratulations.

Wow, some cracker shots there. If you haven't already, you should put the best ones up in the Solar System images forum.
