GSO RC 10 collimation ring

Hello folks, still awaiting the arrival of my Feathertouch for the RC 10 but have bought one of those collimation rings for the focuser from BIntel.
Question is- I am assuming this helps collimation by placing the focuser and therefore the camera flat to the secondary -is there anyway to check just how flat and aligned this is - bearing in mind the mirrors need collimating as well?
Do I have to buy CCD inspector?
Cheers
Graz
