Unable to quote message in reply

Sometimes when I try to quote a message Firefox give me a blank input text area. I get this error in NoScript associated with newreply.php which probably explains it.

Quote:
A form was submitted in the windows-1252 encoding which cannot encode all Unicode characters, so user input may get corrupted. To avoid this problem, the page should be changed so that the form is submitted in the UTF-8 encoding either by changing the encoding of the page itself to UTF-8 or by specifying accept-charset=utf-8 on the form element.
Sample characters that cause it are the curly single or double quote marks. If I copy and paste the message into the blank reply and the replace all non ASCII characters with the ASCII equivalent I can reply but lose all the threading links. If I miss any replacements, when I preview the whole message text is blank and I have to use the browser back button to redisplay the message and hunt for the invalid character.
