Warm Late Autumn Night

It is nearly winter, only 4 days to go, and 14C at midnight!
I just spent 1.5 hours observing with a 16" Dob and the mozzies are still hanging around. They should be gone by now.

It was 22C at 4am in Melbourne on Tuesday morning. We've also had 6 nights with overnight lows over 16C.

Townsville is in the sub tropics and often had 15-16C minimums in "winter" .

We used to laugh as those minimums for Townsville were maximum temps for Melbourne.

I tell ya' its all this daylight saving is at fault. the extra hour of sunlight is heating the country up. LOL

A friend in Estonia has informed me that the country is also having 30C quite frequently lately. That temp is rare in that country.

Cheers
