Funny Rego Plates

Some time ago I submitted images of a few odd rego plates I had seen. There were a few photos in the thread. Plates such as;

MELOST,
MEOW, on A Jaguar
There were others that I can not recall.

Lately I've noticed a few that caught my attention and I'm rather astonished they were allowed.

FIGJAM,
17WTF

On a more mundane note,

MISS RIM

I haven't seen a, MUMSCAB or BADDAD. I have seen POSSUM and YES YES (Belongs to Yes Solar)

Buses with KANGAROO ## (# = digit) Kangaroo bus line.

Mazda with, ZOOM ##

Also the myriad of people's names like SUE and JOHN etc.

Then came the unusual. The plate was mounted upside down. BLONDE, I think it was on a BMW sports.
That must be the one that I choose to be both funniest and unusual.

Cheers

Over here we're limited to only 6 characters but they get pretty inventive.
EXQ5ME ( Excuse Me ) is the latest I've spotted

There was a hot pink lancer cruising around Narre Warren with number plate "B i t c h e" and also had a sign on the window "Miss a B i t c h i e". Yes it's driven by a girl p plater.

Hi,

Years ago the plates were rather mundane and now they seem to have taken off. That cryptic one from Bo for example. Pi, is good and those others of Doug and Matt. What kind of attitude do these people have to their driving I wonder?
People are getting rather bold about what goes on the plates.

Cheers

Hate to get political Marty, but that's just a sign of our times. We are now increasingly self obsessed with i devices and many see personalised number plates as just another extension of their personal liberties and freedom (and if you are in America, they'd be prepared to defend their freedoms with their personal arsenal).
As the late Maggie Thatcher said "there is no such thing as society", well the chicken has come home to roost and we are all paying for it.

I laughed at the ad for vanity plates on TV the other day. Oh no, my car looks crap because the number plates are yellow. I must change them to carbon fibre. WTF!!!

Do you watch Gruen? First rule of advertising: create a 'problem' then 'solve' it. The problem doesn't have to be real so long as the customers money is.

No, everyone needs to change to one of those colour combinations that makes them unreadable. How the police let RMS get away with selling those is beyond me.

Girl up here had an old Datsun 120Y with plates 'PNK BTS'
Last time I saw them they were on a beat up FJ55 Cruiser...must have upgraded to a much classier ride.

I saw this one in Sydney a while back:

LUV-24Q

It's a standard plate too, so no extra cost. Very clever.

Cheers,
Jason.

WA seems to have the most liberal plating (profanity aside).

For general personalised plates, you can have 6 or 9 characters. Other custom plates can be up to 9 characters, I think as few as 3.

Then you have your colour ranges to choose from.

My teachers in high school waaaaay back in the 80's, had their names on their vehicles even then. So it has been active in WA for a while.

On written profanity: I recall hearing a newscast on the radio after work one day (in Perth) stating that, if something profane is written (such as a bumper sticker), then it is ok. However, if you read that sticker out loud, and a Walloper hears you, then you get a fine for offensive language.

I saw one that said 'DXDIAG'.

For those geeks or the ones in IT like myself would get it.

I found it funny!
