Howdy Astro-liano's

Well, its been like 8 months ''there about's'' since I last used the QHY10 for the 1st time - still unfamiliar with things as expected. Buggared up something as all of my files seem to be only in B/W Arrg-well, no can do about it now..
This was also my 1st experience with a newly purchased Orion, Thin Off Axis Guider, which took a couple times to get focus with stars equal with cameras by adding shimmies, this was done after aproximating focus on a distant Building earlier in the week.

Image Stats : 14 x 10min / 2hr 20m. no darks or bias etc !
Camera/s : QHY10 OSC, set at -35 running at 50% & The good ol Starshooter guider
Mount : Neq6p ...

Hope it worth a Squizz

Looks good Bob, nice and sharp. Maybe just a little black point clipped, but I am viewing this on my iPad and that tends to look a little darker generally.

Well Bobby, for an uncalibrated image it looks pretty good with some good detail showing up, nice work...only negative - juuust watch that selective brightening which looks to have given the three galaxies unnatural looking halos

Welcome back

Mike

Hey Thank you all very much for the kind words and comments fellow's !

I have enjoyed processing the QHY10's data, which interestingly seems need of a different touch/style than the DSLR's CMos chip.
More than I can handle properly atm ? Practice is key, time is of the essence ?
BTW, I have managed to sought out why only B/W, Registax doesnt seem to debayer the OSC Fitts data ..
Cheers and appreciate all your inputs

Bob,

Probably better to use Deep Sky Stacker rather than Registax as it will debayer the data nicely... with the right parameters of course! It also takes a lot of the drama out of applying Darks, Flats and Flat Darks.... or is that Dark Flats?

Cheers,
Mario

Cheers Mario, thats exactly what I found out, yep, DSS takes the Fitts straight up and debayers them whilst stacking, I have now a proccessed color version, but yeah, need to repro, cause I still stuffed up the over areas of galaxy glow
Actually have to maybe start working out how to do this 'so called' Calibrated Image Might start up a thread in Processing section
Appreaciate your info Mario, thanx champ

Thought to Repro this Data without looking at my previous (9months ago) color attempt - A huge difference in the final, I think this looks better natural, tho might need more levels streaching in the background ?
