Yesterday's Sun and Moon

With the eclipse only just passed, I thought I would take a couple of shots after because...

The Moon almost looks a bit spooky with cloud passing over it, and it made the bright sunlit region show some detail.

Pics with a Meade 4" F8 achro refractor and Pentax K-x.

some nice work there - with the full disk you could have made a HDR image to get that full tonal range

Thanks Dave. Um... what is HDR? Something Dynamic Range? How do I do that?

Thought it was something like that. My camera has an expanded dynamic range setting so maybe next time I'll mess with that, though the extremes of the moon and Earthshine would make it difficult I reckon.
