Mars from Melbourne, 30th of April

The weather gods must have felt sorry for us Melbournians, last night, and parted the clouds - after making us miss both the opposition and the closest approach.

Fabulous images Stefan! Hubble standard I would say. Processed beautifully. I've not seen anything better this year.

Brilliant image.

I wish you guys would slow down with your amazing Mars shots: no sooner have I bookmarked "the best yet" when someone goes and betters it.

To be honest, they're not quite Hubble quality ... but , gee, they're getting close!
