Losmandy G11 with Gemini 2

I am selling my Losmandy G11 mount , the mount is in very good condition, fitted with Gemini 2, hi torque motors and new gearboxes, it also comes with field tripod adaptor for mounting on a tripod or pier.

Price $2000 AUD and is low because I want to purchase another OTA.

It does not come with a tripod and has been used on a pier. It has been mounted on a Skywatcher EQ6 tripod for dark sky use. It can be mounted on any pier or tripod with a flat flange on top, using one 12mm bolt.

It comes with a polar scope, Losmandy counter weight, all cables and is ready to go.

I purchased it about 4 years ago from a club member and it has been fully maintained.

Contact using PM or email.

I live in Geelong but will ship at purchasers expense anywhere.

John

Can you place this onto a Celestron CPC 925 Tripod?
It has 3 bolts at the perimeter and a pin at the centre for proper alignment.
Do you know of any adapter that might be available?

Is it upgraded with the latest Firmware?

Thanks.

The mount comes with a field tripod adaptor which is 7 inches in diameter which has a 12mm hole for a single mounting bolt. Details of this adaptor can be found on the Losmandy web site.

I don't know the Celestron tripod, so I cant help with your question.

The Gemini 2 firmware can be updated so you can always have the latest firmware.

It won't fit directly (I had both for a while), but you could get an adapter machined up to suit at any decent engineering shop.
I have a piece of steel that is the correct diameter (abandoned project) to match the G11 end, you could have that for cost of postage.

Quick question, will it fit straight onto a standard G11 tripod, or has it been irreversably modified to suit the EQ6?

If you remove the AZ adjustment peg from the eq6 mount. the Losmandy Pier adaptor will bolt directly to the top of the EQ6 tripod using one bolt.
No engineering and very simple process.

If you are genuinely interested I will show you how. Regards. John

Sorry, I meant had the G11 been modified at all, or is it still standard, i.e. will it still fit the normal G11 tripod?

The Mount has NOT been modified and will fit the G11 tripod.
