Bahrain F1 Grand Prix

This article by David Coulthard just about sums up what the Bahrain race was to me.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/26917109
I was so engrossed in the race that I never thought for one moment at the lack of noise,in fact in my opinion it allowed us to hear more of what was going on around the car, such as tyre squeals missed gears etc.
I was on tenter hooks for the last ten laps, and boy they were ten of the most exciting laps I have seen in F1 in many years
Here's looking forward to more of the same.
BTW
Bernie Ecclestone and Luca Di Montezemolo,if thats what you call taxi racing, bring on more of it
Cheers

I found the race quite enjoyable - several battles going on, not just between first and second place.

I do miss the sound of the old engines, though, as reproduced by my speakers, anyway - it might be a bit different at 120dB in the stands.

I am glad you have not mentioned who won,as Gary has recorded it and may just not know who won.
I may try to get down to Melbourne for next years race to hear the engines first hand, thats if I can save the money.
Cheers

Thanks Ron,

We saw off the last of our 32 overseas visitors last night so I only got to
see the race this morning.

Wow! What a finish!

Best Regards

Gary

No worries mate, we are all on the same page I reckon. Will be interesting to see the outcome of the Red Bull appeal re Daniel's disqualification in Melbourne, I thought it was being heard on the 12th of April, but that is a Saturday, so might be wrong
