NGC3576 Nebula near Carina

Hi Guys,

here's a shot at NGC3576 that red circular nebula near carina. Took this last week sometime .The UHC-S filter really helps with this one.

Yes good shot, the UHCS filter shines for nebulae like this

Another fine image from the Ezystyles imaging factory; you're setting a scorching pace Eric!

What does the UHC-S filter do? Does it combat light pollution by blocking the wavelengths of sodium and mercury vapour lamps? Or does it increase the contrast of nebulae against the sky background?

From what i can tell, the UHC filter brings out more of the red channels.
