Zenithstar dew shield

Hi there,
I,ve got a Zenithstar 80 for a few years now. Lately i noticed the dew shield began to slip. Does anyone know any remedy to keep the dew shield in place or how to retighten it?

Thanks for your help and time

Huey

I think you can unscrew it and replace the felt inside. Alternatively you can just use an elastic band round the main tube to stop it slipping - I do this with my old camera lenses.

I had the same problem with a Zenithstar 110mm. I unscrewed the dew shield and found the felt friction material had partly come unstuck. I just glued it back in place and everything was fine.
