Very high resolution map of the sky

Hello everyone!!
This is my first thread. My question is: how can I create map of the sky in very high resolution. What software is the best choice? Starry Night Pro is very good, right now I have Cartes du Ciel, I also tried some other programs but I don't remember what was that. I'd like create a map of northern and southern hemisphere like this: http://www.skymaponline.net/default.aspx. Of course I can zoom to maximum and then save all the pieces and merge them in Photoshop. But there is no borders of constellations, I'd like more stars, NGC objects, nebulous objects, deep sky objects and much more interesting things, as much as possible, but the picture should be clearly. This is what I want: http://members.shaw.ca/rlmcnish/down..._9010x4500.PNG. The most important objects should have labels. I hope that somebody help me.

Starry Night Pro Plus 6 allows you to create charts. It's in the File menu.

For serious plotting of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, of deep sky objects, in my opinion there are only two real choices in deep sky charting software:

- MegaStar 5 SkyAtlas
- Guide, version 9.0

MegaStar wins on interface, but Guide wins for the incredible richness of the data that it can bring up for each astronomical object.
Guide is less well known, but it is not expensive, yet it is very accurate and comprehensive (see: http://www.projectpluto.com )

"TheSkyX" is another similar product that is also in common use, and it also satisfies the requirements of really serious observers , but traditionally its deep sky databases are not as comprehensive as those in the other two softwares that I mentioned.

P.S. I am always up for a discussion of deep sky databases and catalogs. In particular, I know all of the galaxy catalogs, even the highly obscure ones.

You can have 25, 107 or 571 charts to mags 9, 11 or 12.6.
B106 shows the LMC, B107 the SMC.

Starry Night Pro Plus 6 has an option to create charts but the resolution of the picture is less than 2000 x 2000px, but I'd like to create a map of northern and southern hemisphere like this http://members.shaw.ca/rlmcnish/down..._9010x4500.PNG , with the labels of stars, double stars, NGCs, global and open clusters, quasars, galaxies and of course constellations with boundaries and so on. I tried also CNebulaX but the program is crashing. I didn't tried MegaStar 5 SkyAtlas and Guide 9.0 yet. I'll try find them. There must be some way to do this! Thanks for all your help! I tried SkyMap Pro 11, and at this moment it is the best choice for me. It has an option that I can create a whole map of northern or southern hemisphere in many graphics formats and I can decide how big should be the picture, for example 10000x10000 px. I didn't tried MegaStar 5 SkyAtlas and Guide 9.0 yet. See you!
