Rare and collectible Nikon cameras, lenses and accessories

Hi all,

I'm making a life change and moving from over 20 years of collecting Nikon camera equipment to...astronomy (big surprise there!).

I'd rather trade with like-minded people than go through the 'fleabay' experience. I have very little in the way of good astronomy equipment at the moment so everything will be considered!

I have an EXTENSIVE Nikon collection (1950s to 80s vintage) with many very hard to find (in some cases I've only ever seen the one item, which I acquired) pieces as well as very nice examples of more common lenses, cameras and other accessories.

I tend to be far more generous with trades than I am with cash, so I will certainly make it worth your while!

Regards,

Clockdrive

I'm after some Nikon primes, and Micro/Macro longer lenses.
Do you have anything along those lines?

What sort of Astro stuff are you after?

Cheers

It would make more sense if you posted a list of what Nikon gear you have.

Yes and no, it's a very long list. After specific items (I've had a few pm's for specific items already) have been traded, and the collection thinned out a bit, I may do so then.

I know it sounds a tad weird, but I care about my collection. You don't sink that much time and money into something unless you want it to be a big part of your life. I'd rather people with specific needs inquire about items that they can really use, rather than just a free-for-all grab-bag. That way I know the items will be as treasured by the people getting them as they are by me.

I can totally see your point, but as you can probably gather - for me it's about finding a new home for old friends not just trying to dump a bunch of camera gear!

So, I'm thinking, do you have one of the old fisheyes, and do you want to get rid of it for a reasonable amount of money?
I have no clue.
Maybe you've just got a stack of the old S2 rangefinders and lenses.
Maybe you've got a mint F Photomic Ftn.
Maybe you've got a 500mm ED IF.

Without a list I have no idea and am unlikely to make an enquiry.

Fish eyes went to a friend in Brisbane last year,
I traded the rangefinders about 10 years ago for better items
Yes to the last two on your list, but only willing to part with the F at the moment,
And, as mentioned earlier, I'm not a fan of selling, would rather trade.
