Southern Wide field.

Hi,
Another image from the weekend.
An 18mm southern wide field, 30 x 180 sec - ISO 800 - at f/5 canon 1100d piggy backed on home made tracking mount.

All the glossy stuff just fitted in frame.

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Laurie!

It took quite a while to process this one, a huge amount of gradient made it difficult.

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice photo Justin.
Glad u posted it too. I was sky-surfing between Carina and Cross tonight and found a small distant cluster I hadn't seen before. I kinda got it marked in the map I store in my head but it was useful seeing this wide field because it helped place it.
Just about 1/3 distance from the Jewel Box toward Carina Neb.
Anyhoo. Thx, I love this part of the sky.

Thanks David!

Yes the LMC was nice and high out of the light pollution from Adelaide.

Cheers,

Justin.
