Splitting Sirius

I wondered if anyone has spotted Sirius B visually with a scope under 10"? I've been trying with my 8" (203mm) SCT, but no success yet. It may just be that I haven't had sufficiently good seeing conditions yet, but I'd be interested in other people's experiences with medium-aperture scopes.

Some details on the challenge here: http://www.rasc.ca/sirius-b-observing-challenge

Edit: Sorry mods, could you move this topic to this Forum? http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8
