Mars 09 Feb, dust in Lemuria?

I captured some Mars images this morning, in good seeing, that seem to show a dust streak across Lemuria.
The problem is that the colour is not very red, so it could be something else perhaps.

That is fantastic detail indeed!
The feature is quite unique (now when I look at the right thing!), and very white. Cloud would be more blue, dust storm would be more red; maybe there is a polar anomaly on Mars too and cold polar air leaked further South causing local frost?

Looks very good indeed Stefan.
I thought that the seeing was good this morning too.

I captured data earlier on, so the anomaly you mention is just coming around from the morning (midday) side..

cheers
Maurice

Thanks Guys.

Bratislav,

Ls=88 occurred near last opposition (March 2012), so there are many hi res images from that time on the net. I looked at many and could not find a similar disturbance for that Solar Longitude and that location. Anyway, I leave it to the experts to figure it out.

Excellent work Stefan and an interesting feature with that streak, the colour maybe leans more toward frost or a cloud but certainly something to follow.

Cheers
Trevor

Thanks Sebastian and Trevor,

I managed an image this morning, in poor seeing and transparency, that seems to show a bit of development of the disturbance.
