Moon map in SkySafari Pro/4?

I read on the Southern Stars website that SS Pro has a hi res moon map. I assume it's in SS4 as well.

Can anyone comment on it? I'd love a good moon map for my tablet, perferably one that shows the actual phase of the moon, rather than a full moon with a line to show where the terminator is.

Cheers

Morton

Google image sky safari moon map. does what you want but on my version it's very low res, doesn't outline features, is rotatable, etc. I havnt bothered with sky safari for quite some time so I cannot comment on how good the new moon map is. also I don't think orientation can be changed to match your ep view (not on mine anyways).

good luck in finding something Morton

The Moon map is a lot more detailed in Pro than Plus.... and can be oriented using the usual flip controls. How much more detailed? We'd need a hi res paper map to compare

The display of phase is controlled under Solar System settings.

Pro has a quite nice hi res map of the moon and you can turn on labeling of the craters. Planning for the moon and Saturn on the 22nd with all my field of view stuff input is quite neat. Taking the shot is another matter

The only thing I can't figure out is how to select surface items...but at least once you've centred on the Moon you can pan about and zoom in/out and not lose tracking.

Apparently astrovisuals does an app for iOS based on their moon phase maps

http://www.astrovisuals.com.au/apps.html

but there's no Android version yet.

There are at least two other Moon map apps for iOS.
Moon Map Pro - $0.99
Moon Globe - Free

The SkySafri Pro has a detailed moon map. Even points out where all the rover and moon landings are. I thought it was a pretty darn good feature.
