Natures Night Lights

Milky Way and Aurora Australis, Mt Buffalo National Park, Victoria. Australia. 29/06/2013

I was doing some folder sorting when I came across this set of images from the second aurora display I managed to capture from Mt Buffalo last year. I had completely forgotten that I had done a quick panorama prior to moving to a different composition for a timelapse sequence.

Three image panorama. Canon 5DMkII, 14mm, F/2.8, ISO 3200, 30 Second exposures.

Top shelf image Greg, I really like the framing to. What 14mm lense did you use for this?

That's a truly beautiful nightscape.
Were you aware of the aurora happening when u went out, or was it a happy coincidence?
Not that it really matters. It's a great reward for the effort.
