LRGB processing flow in Maxim

Hey folks, I am having terrible trouble getting any decent images together when I process the LRGB lights in Maxim- it calibrates well and stacks well but the end result is horrifying.
I have tried stacking the L/R/G/B separately as a colour combine and also in a sub group stack.
I have read the manual but now I am asking if any kind soul has notes on a Maxim DL 5 processing flow I can follow step by step so to see if I can rectify my horrible purple/blue pictures.
Cheers
Graham.

Hi Graham,

are you aligning them during the combine? the stacked image display won't be the actual colours as maxim's screen stretch is a bit different, I save as fit and edit with other processing software like startools, PI or photoshop.

you can do the whole post processing in maxim, but its screen stretch is a bit weird, atleast for me. ccdstack stretches the image really well when it opens it and you can see all the details and colours you have to work with.
can you post single stacked l,r,g,b subs?

Cheers
Alistair

I gave up processing in MaxIm. I know some people do well with it.
I wish you could get it as image capture only, it would save alot of money. I will look around, I think I have some on DVD somewhere that may help you.

I converted myself to PixInsight, I like it a lot now that I am used to it. I notice there seems to be a few of the big names that are moving to PI as well, must be something in that.
